Composiflex’s high level of vertical integration also contributes to the level of quality and responsiveness expected by aerospace and military customers. Despite today’s penchant toward outsourcing, we view our vertical integration as a competitive advantage, allowing us to support shorter leadtimes and provide components with more consistent performance. In addition to part fabrication, post-cure machining, and finishing operations, we can incorporate other mechanical components to add value by supplying complete subassemblies.

The diversity of Composiflex customers and applications provides us with a broad portfolio of experience not common among other composites manufacturers. Our materials knowledge and production capabilities have become extremely valuable to aerospace and military engineers who seek to minimize weight by converting metal components to composite materials, commonly achieving a weight reduction of 30-40% or more. A variety of lightweight cores and inserts can be incorporated into the composite structure to increase rigidity, particularly important under bending loads.
Although custom designs are our specialty, we gladly respond to make-to-print opportunities. We’re accustomed to functioning as an extension of our customers’ engineering staffs, effectively collaborating to solve design challenges.
